Magicians’ Club of Haute-Savoie

It was founded in 1965 on the initiative of Maurice Bordet. His goal? To bring together the conjurers of Haute-Savoie, professional or amateur, to create bonds of friendship and mutual aid, to develop and promote the art of magic, to fight against the dishonest use of illusionist techniques and to protect magic and magicians against abusive public disclosures.
Our Club is affiliated to the French Federation of Conjuring Artists (FFAP) which has more than 1500 magicians, professionals and amateurs, in its ranks. The FFAP represents its 36 associations throughout the country in France and abroad.
Would you like to become a member of the “Club des Magiciens de la Haute-Savoie”? You will have to show a real interest in the magic art, justify a minimum of knowledge, know how to do some simple demonstrations, and be sponsored by a member of the federation.
Currently, our Club has about twenty members, amateurs or professionals. We meet on average once a month to share on a theme given in advance (or not), such as cards, strings, pieces, mentalism…
During these meetings, we also talk about the magic news with the release of books or DVDs dedicated to magic, shows on tour or that we have seen, our participation in galas or events…
In 2005, the Club celebrated its 40th anniversary, with a show headlined by Bernard Bilis, a magician who is a regular on Patrick Sébastien’s show “Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde” on France 2…
We meet every second and fourth Friday of the month.
