Magic Convention Shibuya – The JAPAN MAGIC CONVENTION 2025

Japan National Championship of Magic, which will be held at Theater Daikanyama in Shibuya, Tokyo, on 24 and 25 May. Hosted by the Magic Academy of Tokyo, this competition will bring the best in prestidigitation from all over Japan and beyond to crown the top talent in both close-up and stage magic acts.

This is an announcement for the 65th Tenyo Magic Festival.

This time, we will once again invite magicians and performers active around the world to perform top-class shows. This time, we have invited Juan Colas from Spain, where magic is at its peak. He will perform a popular act that won the grand prize at an international competition.
There will also be many other events, such as the announcement of the results of the annual Junior Magician Video Contest and the sale of new and special products. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see the pinnacle of man-made magic, from incredible finger tricks to super illusions, all in one place.

The 20th Busan International Magic Festival will take place from June 19 to 22 at the Busan Cinema Center, featuring a special “Magic Convention” filled with performances, lectures, and interactive events.

This year’s program includes a variety of attractions such as the Magic Gala Show with top international magicians, Yoo Ho-jin’s solo performance 52, the International Magic Competition, a Magic Lecture for sharing professional techniques, a Magic Talk Show, and a comedy magic act by Korea’s “trot magician” Kim Min-hyung.

Additional exhibitions and interactive experiences will also celebrate the festival’s 20th anniversary.

The opening ceremony will showcase a dazzling lineup, including SBS “More Magic Star” winner Yoo Ho-jin.

The Magic Gala Show will bring together seven acclaimed magicians from Korea, Japan, and Italy in a spectacular cross-genre showcase.

Yoo Ho-jin’s solo performance 52 will explore life’s journey through the metaphor of a card deck, offering audiences a poetic and immersive magical experience.

The International Magic Competition features 23 finalists from five countries — Korea, China, Thailand, the U.S., and Japan — with judging conducted by an expert panel led by World Magic Championships Chair Dominic Dante.

James Cielen
Gold Medal Magic
James Cielen is one of only eight magicians to win the Gold Medal for Excellence in Stage Performance from the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Even better proof of excellence is the successful career which has followed, including what may be the longest-running contract in the history of cruise ship magicians. We’ll get to see James on his home turf, thrilling audiences in the 890-seat World Stage theatre, plus a PCAM-exclusive talk where we can learn from his experience.
