The 20th Busan International Magic Festival will take place from June 19 to 22 at the Busan Cinema Center, featuring a special “Magic Convention” filled with performances, lectures, and interactive events.
This year’s program includes a variety of attractions such as the Magic Gala Show with top international magicians, Yoo Ho-jin’s solo performance 52, the International Magic Competition, a Magic Lecture for sharing professional techniques, a Magic Talk Show, and a comedy magic act by Korea’s “trot magician” Kim Min-hyung.
Additional exhibitions and interactive experiences will also celebrate the festival’s 20th anniversary.
The opening ceremony will showcase a dazzling lineup, including SBS “More Magic Star” winner Yoo Ho-jin.
The Magic Gala Show will bring together seven acclaimed magicians from Korea, Japan, and Italy in a spectacular cross-genre showcase.
Yoo Ho-jin’s solo performance 52 will explore life’s journey through the metaphor of a card deck, offering audiences a poetic and immersive magical experience.
The International Magic Competition features 23 finalists from five countries — Korea, China, Thailand, the U.S., and Japan — with judging conducted by an expert panel led by World Magic Championships Chair Dominic Dante.

Event Registration Info:The Busan International Magic Festival Organizing Committee
has been hosting the Busan International Magic Festival, Asia's largest magic festival, for about 20 years since 2006, leading international exchange and cultural dissemination through magic. Through collaboration with domestic and international magicians and festival management and promotion, it has established itself as the center hub of Asian magic.
The Organizing Committee successfully hosted the FISM WCM in Busan in 2018, with approximately 2,500 magicians from around the world attending. The event demonstrated its international capabilities by flawlessly executing programs such as competitions, gala shows, exhibitions, and workshops.
Building on these achievements and a solid infrastructure, BIMF is preparing to once again take center stage in the global magic community alongside FISM, which boasts 80 years of history and tradition, in 2028.
FISM Centered Around Magic Clubs
Through the active participation of magic clubs around the world, we will provide opportunities to expand the magic industry by establishing a project collaboration platform that includes joint workshops, lectures, and art markets between clubs.
Smart Value & Premium Experience
We offer high-quality experiences at reasonable prices through our “Smart Package” so that everyone can enjoy the best experience without any burden. In particular, we offer discounts to teenagers, minors, and FISM cardholders to ease their financial burden.
Seamless Global Access
Incheon International Airport, Korea's main gateway, is a world-class hub airport with direct flights to most cities on six continents, and travel from Incheon Airport to Busan is also very efficient. We will actively support participants' journeys from arrival to the venue to ensure a smooth experience.
Compact & Immersive Venue
FISM 2028 will be held at BEXCO, where the main performance hall and ancillary spaces are located within a 5-minute walk. The venue was selected for its “5-minute magic circle” layout, which allows participants to enjoy all programs without inconvenience, providing a well-rounded festival environment with efficient traffic flow, immersion, and urban infrastructure.
Professional Operations Team
Busan has a professional operations team and system optimized for international magic competitions. Based on our experience in successfully operating the 2018 FISM WCM, we plan to add experts with fresh perspectives to our existing operations team in order to develop an even more innovative competition.
Magic Street
Busan is a city with seven beaches, each with its own unique charm. Utilizing its beautiful marine scenery and abundant marine tourism resources, Busan is planning a large-scale magic busking program that can only be experienced in this maritime city rich in culture.
City-Wide Magic Festival
Rather than limiting the convention to a single week, we plan to actively utilize large and small performance venues throughout Busan to expand the festival across the entire city, developing it into a massive festival that takes over the entire city for a month.
FISM 80th Anniversary Project
A variety of programs commemorating 80 years of history and spirit will be organized in a three-dimensional manner through special exhibitions and performance programs themed “A magical narrative connecting the past, present, and future.”

2025 PCAM Convention
Eurodam Cruise Ship October 5 – 9th, 2025
We’re putting the SEA in PCAM (also the Pacific Coast) with this four-day magic cruise departing from Vancouver, BC and ending in San Diego, CA. This will be an affordably luxurious magic convention featuring amazing shows and lectures, with non-stop food, friends, and good times.Presenters for the convention:
(Presenters will also present a full show of their own.)
James Cielen
Gold Medal Magic
James Cielen is one of only eight magicians to win the Gold Medal for Excellence in Stage Performance from the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Even better proof of excellence is the successful career which has followed, including what may be the longest-running contract in the history of cruise ship magicians. We’ll get to see James on his home turf, thrilling audiences in the 890-seat World Stage theatre, plus a PCAM-exclusive talk where we can learn from his experience.Peter Samelson
“The soft-spoken conceptualist of sorcery” – New York Times
On a recent Fool Us performance, Penn praises Peter Samelson as “one of the greatest living magicians,” and Jamy Ian Swiss writes “I used to say that Peter Samelson is the most influential magician you’ve never heard of.” Except the secret is now out. From his groundbreaking publication Theatrical Close-Up to producing the longest running Off-Broadway Magic Show in New York City, he shows his commitment to performing magic as an artist. He’ll be teaching us, by example, what it means to experience magic.Louie Foxx
“A Variety Artist in the the truest sense of the word” – M-U-M
Louie Foxx never stops. He never stops moving, on the road as one of the busiest entertainers in the Pacific Northwest, delighting audiences of kids, families, adults, and seniors in every town along the way. He never stops learning, as an avid collector gaining hands-on insight to the history of magic and magicians through long-lost props. He never stops creating, inventing wildly original tricks grounded in the practical needs of a working pro. Louie will inspire you to get your magic moving!Daniel Garcia
“Every time I think I’ve come up with something brilliant, I run it by Garcia… and he quietly makes it 10x better.” – Justin Willman
Daniel Garcia is the secret ingredient to many of the most successful magicians in the world. David Blaine, Dynamo, Piff, and Justin Willman all bring their ideas to Daniel for his insight and imagination. Thousands more magicians around the world carry DG tricks in their daily repertoire. Cyril says “he brings both genius and generosity to the table, and makes everyone better just by being in the room.” We’re looking forward to inviting him into our room at PCAM.Discover more from MAGICIANSANDMAGIC.COM
