The Double Fond is a theater dedicated to magic: at the bar the waiters are magicians and in the basement you attend close-up magic shows.

Since 1988, more than 90 shows have been created, 200 magicians from all over the world have performed and nearly 450,000 spectators.

On Tripadvisor, Le Double Fond is ranked 17th out of more than 323 shows and venues in Paris!

The Concept is:

The Double Fond

Is where you forget everything except dreaming!

In 1988, the Double Fond was born, in the heart of the Marais, on the small Place du Marché Ste Catherine in Paris.

An impossible bet at the time that only its creator, Dominique Duvivier, believed in: to create a place entirely dedicated to the art of magic.

Today, however, the Double Fond is known throughout the world: it has become an essential place for magic and entertainment with an exceptional and constantly renewed program.

But if this place has become mythical, it is first and foremost because it is the story of a beautiful human adventure: ours… and yours!

The Bar and the Terrace

Located on one of the most picturesque squares in Paris, the Double Fond is a one-of-a-kind bar: order your coffee and our famous waiters-magicians will come and offer magic at your table!

The Theater
In the basement, every evening, the magicians of the famous Double Fond troupe take turns for different performances each time: not the woman cut in half that you have seen a thousand times but humorous sketches and miracles right before your eyes, which definitively dust off the image of magic!

The room, very intimate (50 seats), is ideal for creating a direct and privileged contact with the audience who are really seated a few centimeters from the magician.
