The Busan International Magic Festival Organizing Committee

has been hosting the Busan International Magic Festival, Asia's largest magic festival, for about 20 years since 2006, leading international exchange and cultural dissemination through magic. Through collaboration with domestic and international magicians and festival management and promotion, it has established itself as the center hub of Asian magic.

The Organizing Committee successfully hosted the FISM WCM in Busan in 2018, with approximately 2,500 magicians from around the world attending. The event demonstrated its international capabilities by flawlessly executing programs such as competitions, gala shows, exhibitions, and workshops.

Building on these achievements and a solid infrastructure, BIMF is preparing to once again take center stage in the global magic community alongside FISM, which boasts 80 years of history and tradition, in 2028.

FISM Centered Around Magic Clubs

Through the active participation of magic clubs around the world, we will provide opportunities to expand the magic industry by establishing a project collaboration platform that includes joint workshops, lectures, and art markets between clubs.

Incheon International Airport, Korea's main gateway, is a world-class hub airport with direct flights to most cities on six continents, and travel from Incheon Airport to Busan is also very efficient. We will actively support participants' journeys from arrival to the venue to ensure a smooth experience.

Compact & Immersive Venue

FISM 2028 will be held at BEXCO, where the main performance hall and ancillary spaces are located within a 5-minute walk. The venue was selected for its “5-minute magic circle” layout, which allows participants to enjoy all programs without inconvenience, providing a well-rounded festival environment with efficient traffic flow, immersion, and urban infrastructure.

Professional Operations Team

Busan has a professional operations team and system optimized for international magic competitions. Based on our experience in successfully operating the 2018 FISM WCM, we plan to add experts with fresh perspectives to our existing operations team in order to develop an even more innovative competition.

Magic Street

Busan is a city with seven beaches, each with its own unique charm. Utilizing its beautiful marine scenery and abundant marine tourism resources, Busan is planning a large-scale magic busking program that can only be experienced in this maritime city rich in culture.

City-Wide Magic Festival

Rather than limiting the convention to a single week, we plan to actively utilize large and small performance venues throughout Busan to expand the festival across the entire city, developing it into a massive festival that takes over the entire city for a month.

FISM 80th Anniversary Project

A variety of programs commemorating 80 years of history and spirit will be organized in a three-dimensional manner through special exhibitions and performance programs themed “A magical narrative connecting the past, present, and future.”

New Stage Set!!
Ok, not the big news but still big news! I've built a new stage set! Finished just last night, 8/29/2026, this is a massive old parlor room where the most unusual magic will take place. Performers will have access from the archway curtains (center stage) or the foam door. I wanted more of a theatrical feeling to an otherwise all black background.
