Samala Venu, also known as Magic Venu, is a renowned magician and illusionist from Hyderabad, India.

He has performed over 7,000 shows worldwide in more than 30 countries, captivating audiences with his unique blend of magic, illusion, and hypnotism.
Venu’s career began in the early 1980s when he started performing during his school holidays. He has since earned numerous accolades, including the National Youth Award from the Government of India in 1993 and various state honours from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments.
In 2015, Venu created the first university course for magicians at Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, making magic a recognized career option.
This initiative has trained over 60 professional magicians and helped many middle and lower-middle-class individuals choose magic as a viable career path.
Venu holds several world records, including a 36-hour non-stop magic show and a blindfolded scooter ride covering 3,186 kilometers in 17 days, which earned him entries in the Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of Records.
He was appointed as an advisory panel member of the Central Board of Film Certification, Hyderabad region, for two years starting December 28, 2023.
Venu is actively involved in raising funds through his shows for various organizations like the Red Cross Society, Lions Club, Rotary Club, and YMCA.
He is also a cultural ambassador for Telangana Tourism and a member of Rotary International since 20 years.
