Siegfried Fischbacher of “Siegfried and Roy” has passed on.

Siegfried Fischbacher has passed away.

Siegfried was in hospital with pancreatic cancer.

He succumbed to the illness today (apparently at home).

We express our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Siegfried and Roy funded the SARMOTI grant to the College of Magic for many years (since 1997), this provided tuition for many disadvantaged budding magicians who went through the doors of the College of Magic.

As a result, many students and staff had met Siegfried and his loss is going to be acutely felt in Cape Town.

I don’t know what else to say.

A brilliant performer has passed on, to be with his partner.

May they shine in Heaven.
