Shin Lim magician, born Liang-Shun Lim on September 25, 1991, is a Canadian-American magician renowned for his close-up card magic and sleight of hand techniques.
Initially trained as a pianist, he switched to magic after being diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome.

He is self-taught, having learned much of his skills from watching YouTube videos and has shared some of his own techniques on the platform.
Lim gained international recognition around 2012 and has since won accolades including the 2015 Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques championship in Close-up Card Magic.
He is also the only person to have won America’s Got Talent twice.

Lim’s performances are characterized by elaborate routines set to music and performed in silence.

He has appeared on Penn & Teller’s Fool Us, where he has fooled the duo twice.
His performances on America’s Got Talent in 2018 and 2021 have been well-received, with many viewers and magicians praising his skill and creativity.

Lim has a significant online presence, with a YouTube channel and an Instagram account that showcase his magic tricks and performances.

Lim has a residency show called “Limitless” at The Palazzo Theatre in Las Vegas, which debuted in 2019 and continues to attract large audiences.
The show features new sets and performances, and Lim has added new early show times to accommodate families and fans.
