Update 03/02/2016:

Darcy Oakes has visited Cape Town for a quick visit to the College of Magic. Yes, very quick… literally on his way to the airport…. so welcome Darcy.  Nice to see performers popping in to visit the College.

Original post:

Why not start the New Year with an escape, 20 feet in the air… just in case the effects of the New Year celebrations haven’t left you feeling slightly dizzy?

Well, that’s what you do if you are Darcy Oakes!

Darcy was manacled and hoisted 20 feet in the air. His head was encased in a see through glass box filled with water, making it impossible for him to breathe.

The crowd watched with anticipation as he managed to escape in under two minutes.

According to the report Darcy came close to death twice whilst rehearsing this stunt.

What a way to start the New Year, not for everyone.

Happy New year to all my readers! Make it a magical one.
