This is a new venture (the Los Angeles Tribune Global Magicians Hall of Fame) and it is being press released (20th June 2025) out at the moment. So i thought i best put something down on magiciansandmagic.
Being brand new, i am sure we will hear more as the intiative expands.

In essence it is a hall of fame designed to honour magic’s legends and unsung heroes.
As the press release puts it:
A first-of-its-kind news & media global hall rewriting history to immortalize the innovators, educators, and unseen heroes behind magic’s greatest moments.
Press Release 20 June 2025: https://www.einpresswire.com/article/823893569/the-los-angeles-tribune-launches-global-magicians-hall-of-fame-to-honor-magic-s-legends-unsung-architects-of-aweIn a historic moment for the global magic community, The Los Angeles Tribune proudly announces the launch of the Global Magicians Hall of Fame — the first international platform created to honor not only the world’s most celebrated magicians, but also the innovators, educators, and behind-the-scenes architects who have shaped the very essence of magic for generations.
With its roots in civic journalism from 1886 and a longstanding commitment to elevating underrepresented voices, The Los Angeles Tribune and Tim Wise, an award-winning entertainer, magician, author, and former business partner of Monty Hall and 10-year host of Monty Hall’s Let’s Make a Deal Live, unite to recognize the achievements and contributions of individuals within the field of magic — from an outsider’s view.
The programme is being created from an ‘outside’ view of the industry, as opposed to the programmes and awards that are currently ‘inside’ the industry.
Unlike traditional recognition programs created from within the industry, the Global Magicians Hall of Fame was born from an outsider’s lens, ensuring a fresh, unbiased, and culturally significant view of the art of magic’s true builders — those whose fingerprints are on every gasp, standing ovation, and child’s wide-eyed wonder.

Gay Blackstone’s name is deeply embedded in the global magic community—not only as a masterful producer, director, and ambassador of the art, but as the steward of one of magic’s most enduring legacies.Through her leadership as president of the Academy of Magical Arts and as executive producer of the acclaimed television series Masters of Illusion, Gay has elevated the art form far beyond the stage. As the widow and longtime producing partner of the legendary Harry Blackstone Jr., she has carried forward the Blackstone name, ensuring its ongoing place in the annals of magic history. In her role as international ambassador for the International Brotherhood of Magicians, she continues to champion innovation and foster new generations of performers worldwide.
Her lifelong dedication to preserving the wonder, scale, and integrity of the magical arts makes her induction into the Global Magicians Hall of Fame profoundly fitting and historic.
Diana Zimmerman – The Enchantress Who Transcended the Stage
Diana Zimmerman’s remarkable journey from performing simple tricks as a young girl to becoming widely recognized as the “World’s Foremost Lady Magician” reflects her pioneering spirit and multifaceted contributions. By her early twenties, she was captivating audiences on television and representing major corporations such as IBM and RCA as a magical spokesperson. Her inventive concepts have inspired illusions performed by some of the most celebrated magicians of our time, including David Copperfield and Criss Angel. Beyond performance, Diana co-founded the Magic Castle’s renowned Junior Program with Cary Grant, mentoring young magicians and shaping the future of the craft.
