Keith West – Magician from Des Moines, wins Texas Association of Magicians Senior Stage award

Just found an interesting post from the Des Moines register site. (original posting)

Gives a quick little biography on Keith West. Winner of the Texas Association of Magicians 2015 Senior Stage Award.

He is a magician based in the U.S., has a stage show that features large scale illusions- which he takes across country in the States.

Started his career as a “cookie” magician (first mention of one of those on this site). He was the cookie magician for Oreo cookies (yum they are).

Keith West uses three showgirls in his traveling stage show and is one of the people that use a levitation invented by Blaney (Walter “Zaney” Blaney). Another famous magician bought the same levitation (you guessed it – David Copperfield).

Interesting note on that levitation: Keith says that he has been doing it for 17 years and has levitated kids of the people that he originally levitated… how many people have done that?

He also has a booking agency which books over 1100 events each year for the magicians on his books.

All the best on your winning of the Senior stage award Keith.

Well, lucky us… found the You tube video of this winning performance… some great illusions and the showgirls expressions are really interesting… looks like they all had a great time in this performance. Enjoy!
