I have just read the reviews of 3 of the magic shows at this years Cape Town Fringe Festival (2017).

Mandy’s reviews are very refreshing, coming from someone with a lot of knowledge of magic… it is pleasant to read the experience of a show from a magically experienced person (as opposed to just getting a layman’s view).

• If I Really Did Have Powers… (It Would Look Something Like This)- Andrew Klazinga

(you can see the hard work in routining put in here in this review).

• Hocus Pocus- Brendon Peel

(unfortunately, this looks like a very un-cooperative audience on the night of this review, very difficult to deal with when doing mentalism. Makes me think of orthodox to southpaw— mentalism to comedy— in a moments notice, wonder if that would work?).

• Refocused- Greg Gelb

(intimate and personal, from afar).
