Day 3 begins

A beautiful Capetonian spring day.
Enough food to feed way more people than we had for day 3, which kept the rest of us ‘ filled up’ for the whole day (Ta). Thank you “homecooked-Cape Town“.
After filling our stomachs, it was time for the first lecture.
Stuart Lightbody (on his first day as SA National Overall Magic Champion)
Stuart was up from 11 to 12.
His lecture was very interesting. You can see the time that he spends focusing on all the details of everything. He even released one of his “money” tricks to those of us in attendance.

Dr. Wolfgang Riebe
Wolfgang gave a insightful lecture on the business of magic. I could just see the minds working overtime on plans for their businesses.
Time for a well deserved break and chat amongst each other.
And… onto the next lectures/ discussions….
Matt Gore, online from Saskatchewan.
Another very insightful lecture from Matt. Who started off seeing all his old friends in the room…
A good feeling all around. Matt spoke on how he started again in a new country (being from South Africa and now resident in Canada).
After Matt, we had the final discussion of the convention… none other than…
Lance Burton
Talking to us from his ranch in Kentucky. Lance was very gracious with all of us and some of the questions he got.
With Llewyn Maralack being the lucky winner of a signed Lance Burton trick for his question (well done Llewyn)
And that was it, the South African Magic Convention and Championships 2023 were a wrap!
All that was left was for a group photo (unfortunately missing people as they had planes to catch earlier in the day).
